How Acrylic Nails Are Removed

Wash off any unwanted residue and follow along with trustworthy hand cream and some cuticle oils. This can be a lifesaver if you cant. Once youve filed away the top layer of polish put your fingers in a shallow bowl of warm pure acetone.
Apply petroleum jelly all over the skin near your cuticles and nails. Acetone softens the acrylic. You will need two bowls for this step one filled with warm water and another with acetone.
Make sure your nails are completely submerged and keep them in the bowl for at least 30 minutes. It does a very good job of getting the acrylic nails off. Gently push the acrylic off your nails using a steel cuticle pusher.
Take the buffer and buff your nails to smooth them out and get rid of any ridges that have been caused by the acrylic. After this step soaks a cotton swab completely into 100acetone and wraps it around your nails. It is highly recommended to go back to the nail technician or salon where you got your acrylic nails done to have them removed.
